Great Expectations is a wonderful eclectic mix of Antiques, Original Art, Furniture and Lifestyle. Started in Late 2011 in Historical Downtown Petaluma California by Scott Jacques and John Barragan, the pair could not have asked for anything better.

Scott came to Marin County in the early 80's and landed the perfect job at the Design Center in San Francisco. His experience working for Stark Carpet for 23 years gave him the edge, product knowledge and knowhow to handle this small store. His love of Antiques and keeping them alive by having them reconditioned and reupholstered and mixing them with other high end pieces and accessories has lead the store into a perfect place to launch his Interior Design business.

John, by nature is an outdoor enthusiast. His knowledge of road biking and world travel has given him the gift of appreciating beautiful objects and his thirst for creating incredible art. His work is shown in the store amongst all of the original pieces he hand selects for the store.

Ricker is their very personable Sheep Dog mix who welcomes everyone into the store with a soft nudge of his nose and a big wag of the tail! He is a favorite of all the patrons who visit from the neighborhood.
